Blog Wars 3... List Build Part 1

Right...its about time I should really start thinking about what I want to be taking to the up and coming blog wars 3. Well seeing that I have just recently sold my guard I will be looking towards my nids.

1st things 1st - Special Character (compulsory)

I’ve been thinking about this a lot over the past couple of days and have been play testing the obvious... Doom, but tbh I just don’t like him. Yes he can be awesome and watching people crap there pants when he lands is amusing. I just don’t think he works that well.

So I am steering myself towards death leaper. He has a ton of special rules a lotof them useful. Halving night fighting to see him is a biggy. But my favourite and main reason to take him is for the -d3 to an enemy model. I think this will be mainly used to try and stop psykers... mainly looking in the direction of space wolves here.

Well there is only one option to me. That will be 1 Hive Tyrant. But how do I want him fielding.

My general feeling towards nids is that they can do CC no problem and that is what everyone expects. From personal experience and talking to other gamers is that alot of people fear the shooty nid lists.

I really want 2 TL devours on my Tyrant. But I feel I will be ignoring his CC prowess... so thinking about Old Adversary to get abit of preferred enemy on the go! Regeneration is another but will see how point-age is going by the time I get there.

I think it is also compulsory to include at least 2 Tyrant Guard to help walk him across the table or to soak up those annoying missile taking cheap wounds off.

So roughly that is 500ish points out of my 1750 pot.

I will add another 500 points over the next couple of days and do it gradually...
